Law, Religion, and Politics: Understanding the Separation of Church and State

The Notre Dame Club of Greater Boston, Notre Dame Law School, and the Boston Notre Dame Lawyer’s Committee invite you to attend a Hesburgh Lecture Series event featuring Professor Richard W. Garnett.

In America, the freedom of religion is foundational and fundamental. Our Constitution, it is often said, calls for a “separation of church and state.” In the context of our current political culture, how should we understand this prescription, and what does it mean for us as leaders and professionals in this community?

Join the local Notre Dame legal community and members of the broader Notre Dame Club of Greater Boston for an evening of camaraderie and what promises to be an interesting discussion from one of the most dynamic faculty members at Notre Dame Law School.
